What are the functions of filler masterbatch, and how should it be selected?

During the production of filler masterbatches, functional color masterbatches are used to manufacture plastic finished products. These filler masterbatches exhibit excellent coloring power, with colors that remain distinct from the base material and appear vibrant. The finished products show no black spots or discontinuities in cross-section, and color variation is virtually nonexistent. Gobi-colored masterbatches are more convenient to use, helping to conserve raw materials and reduce labor costs. Moreover, during production, the environmental requirements for masterbatches and their impact on the surrounding environment are minimal. Therefore, based on current trends, the use of functional color masterbatches is expected to increase in the future.

Overview of the Properties and Advantages of Filler Masterbatches

The performance characteristics of color masterbatches are as follows: (1) Lightfastness: Under light exposure, certain pigments become sensitized, leading to fading and embrittlement of colored fibers; the lightfastness of a pigment is fundamentally related to its chemical structure. Therefore, when formulating color masterbatches, due consideration must be given to the choice of pigment.

What are the industrial applications of calcium carbonate? A calcium carbonate manufacturer is here to introduce them to you!

Calcium carbonate is a valuable resource with a wide range of applications, and limestone is the commercial name for this mineral raw material. Due to its widespread occurrence in nature and ease of extraction, limestone has been extensively utilized throughout the history of human civilization; as an important construction material, it boasts a long mining history. In modern industry, limestone serves as the primary raw material for the production of cement, lime, and calcium carbide, and acts as an indispensable flux in the metallurgical sector. High-quality limestone, after ultrafine grinding, is widely employed in the manufacture of paper, rubber, paints, coatings, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, animal feed, sealants, adhesives, and polishing agents. According to incomplete statistics, the ratio of limestone consumed in cement production to that used for architectural stone, lime production, metallurgical fluxes, and ultrafine calcium carbonate is 1:3. Limestone is a non-renewable resource. With continuous advances in science and technology and the development of nanotechnology, the application scope of limestone will continue to expand.

What are the classifications of calcium carbonate? A calcium carbonate manufacturer is here to introduce them to you!

According to manufacturers of calcium carbonate, based on the production method, calcium carbonate can be classified into heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, colloidal calcium carbonate, and crystalline calcium carbonate. Based on the average particle size (d) of the calcium carbonate powder, it can further be divided into granular calcium carbonate (d > 5 μm), micronized calcium carbonate (1 μm), and ultrafine calcium carbonate (0.02 μm). Depending on whether the arrangement of atoms and ions in calcium carbonate is regular or irregular, it can be categorized as crystalline calcium carbonate or amorphous calcium carbonate; additionally, there is also nano-calcium carbonate.

What are the safety measures for calcium carbonate? A calcium carbonate manufacturer is here to explain!

According to calcium carbonate manufacturers, calcium carbonate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula CaCO₃ and serves as the primary constituent of limestone, marble, and other similar materials. It is essentially insoluble in water but dissolves in hydrochloric acid (undergoing a reaction with the acid). As one of the most common substances on Earth, it is found in minerals such as aragonite and calcite, as well as in chalk, limestone, marble, travertine, and other rocks. It also constitutes the main component of the skeletons and shells of certain animals. Moreover, calcium carbonate is an important building material with a wide range of industrial applications.
